Could you make a board in a size of my choosing?
Certainly. Boards are made to your specification, whether that means particular dimensions or a particular design. Tell us what you are picturing and we will offer our thoughts.
How long will my order take?
Because every board is cut and finished by hand to your requirements, there is a lead time. We will give you an honest estimate when we confirm the details.
How do I look after my board?
It reaches you already oiled. After using it, wipe it down and let it dry, and every so often give it a fresh coat of oil to keep the wood in good condition.
Does the board arrive packaged?
Yes. Each board is oiled and wrapped, ready to use straight away or to hand over as a gift.
Do you send boards abroad?
We do. Boards travel from our workshop in England to customers in many places, packed carefully by hand. Let us know where you are and we will confirm the shipping.
How do I place an order?
Send us your idea for a board. We will come back to you to settle the details, the price and delivery to your address.
Can a board be personalised?
Yes. We can engrave initials, names and designs, which makes for a thoughtful present or a piece to hand down. Just tell us what you would like.
A small workshop, and a patient way of working
Every stage happens by hand: choosing the timber, cutting and shaping each piece, easing the edges and working in the oil, with the kind of attention a production line has no time for.
We think about the wood, the form and the finish in equal measure, aiming for boards that are honest, simple and suited to the kitchen they end up in. The commissions we enjoy most are the made-to-order ones, where a board is built around one person's exact wishes and then sent off to meet them, wherever that may be.
